چکیده
Low density polyethylene (LDPE) is used for packaging and other industrial application a significant source of environmental pollution. The present study was aimed at testing the ability bacterial strains identified as Bacillus cereus Pseudomonas aeruginosa to degrade LDPE. These were isolated from soil samples collected dump site. All isolates screened their synthetic produced weight loss percentages 0.18% 0.17% respectively further studies. biodegradation enhanced by blending pellets LDPE (90, 80 70 %) with cassava starch (10, 20 30%). bacteria incubated along modified period 60 days. Degradation observed in terms tensile strength achieved maximum reduction 42.01 % 51.03 30 starch. However, highest 54.03 Cassava consortium. Tensile 42.01% containing 30% Therefore these results show that this can colonize, utilize modify sole carbon source, signifying potential spp. film. This work would also pave way future studies on resolve universal pollution issues.

متن کاملAn approach to low-density polyethylene biodegradation by Bacillus amyloliquefaciens
Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) is a major cause of persistent and long-term environmental pollution. In this paper, two bacterial isolates Bacillus amyloliquefaciens (BSM-1) and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens (BSM-2) were isolated from municipal solid soil and used for polymer degradation studies. The microbial degradation LDPE was analyzed by dry weight reduction of LDPE film, change in pH of cul...

It has been proven that polyolefins specially low density polyethylene (LDPE), are resistant against degradation and microorganism attacks; Thus, one of the most important properties of industrial plastics, is their environmental biodegradability. Since plastics are being widely used in agriculture, horticulture and packaging, meeting this requirement becomes increasingly dificult (speciall...
